Christmas and New Year are a happening time here in the mountains. At Inn on Main Street, we typically get an interesting mix of students and educators out on winter break, couples here to visit with children and grandchildren, couples on a romantic getaway, and often just folks wanting to see what sort of holiday events the Asheville area has to offer.
For that last group, we say “plenty.” Here’s a rundown of some of what’s going on. Of course, Inn on Main Street offers discount Biltmore daytime and Candlelight Christmas Evenings tickets. See our specials for details.
In the past, many of our guests enjoy a New Year’s Eve visit to Hot Springs Spa for a soak and maybe a massage. The colder it gets outside, the better those hot tubs feel.
Others make the best of closings on Christmas and New year’s Day to get into the woods for a quiet hike. Our big book of trails can suggest place where winter turns waterfalls into magic chandeliers.
Weaverville in winter is as close as you can get to the bygone feel of Christmas and the holidays as in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Come enjoy our nostalgic holiday.
And don’t forget, you can buy an Inn on Main Street B&B gift certificate and be able to print it out in minutes. What a great idea for procrastinators
