Who would have guessed that we'd be celebrating our 15th anniversary as owners of Inn on Main Street today? Most B&B owners last maybe five or six years, succumbing to demands on their time and privacy.
But we feel very fortunate to have touched the lives of about 30,000 strangers who slept in our home, ate what we prepared, and often became friends. For hundreds of those thousands, you've shared your life with us, celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons and, yes, even bucket lists. We've been touched and enriched by what our guests have chosen to share. What we entered as a business venture has become a sort of ministry, a calling we can't take lightly.
We love our small town, and have sung the praises of Weaverville and Asheville from the start. We considered the Western North Carolina mountains our home before becoming innkeepers, and our role here as ambassadors has only strengthened that feeling. When the day comes to give up innkeeping, we'll move on, but not move away.
We thank all our guests, and are especially grateful for those who have returned. We look forward to seeing you again and again.
